We are thrilled to announce that “Yap Yap - The Secret Forest” is one of the selected projects at Cartoon Movie. Milford is responsible for the visual development and animation pilot in this Co-Production together with our friends at Parka Pictures

Naia lives alone with her parents in a towering megalopolis. Left largely to herself she roams the concrete streets to find a place to plant her seeds and grow a garden. One day, in a narrow alley, Naia stumbles through the hidden entrance to Yap Yap, a forestland inhabited by strange and magical creatures of nature. Naia makes new and unusual friends, but a growing darkness is threatening Yap Yap’s existence. Naia sets out on an impossible quest to stop the darkness and save both worlds.

The story about Justino, a lonely and kind-hearted night watchman, was a story that influenced an audience all around the world. Just a few hours after releasing the video the internet was overwhelmed with thousands of people talking about the narrative. The commercial created for the Spanish National Lottery with the message “The biggest prize is to share” was developed in our studio together with Leo Burnett, Passion Pictures and the directors againstallodds.

Three months of hard work to portray the life of a night watchman resulted in a highly acclaimed campaign and a tv-commercial which became the most awarded globally in 2016.

It’s always nice to win prizes but the biggest reward are those comments from the audience that say it all.
