The Very christmas campaigns were created by agency St. Luke's in collaboration with Passion Picuture’s directors againstallodds, and produced with the Milford animation team.

Campaign

Christmas campaigns that bring joy and emotional impact have become a Milford tradition. The successful Very.co.uk campaign with the slogan “Get more out of giving” ran for four years in the UK and was a recurring topic of conversation each Christmas. During the period 2016-2019 we produced animation for four commercials as well as wide variety of other campaign material for social media, print and promotion.

The theme "Get more out of giving" was a common thread throughout the campaign and each commercial had its own perspective on how to celebrate this theme. We worked hard to make sure each character and story had its very own sense of joy and gratitude so not to feel repetitive or generic, tailoring each emotion to be unique and personal.

Working on a campaign that focuses on making you feel warm-hearted inside gave us a fantastic opportunity to explore different story ingredients that give the emotional impact a traditional Christmas ad deserves. Through metaphor and analogy, the key theme could be explored and magnified. The satisfying feeling of giving to others is a universal feeling that many of us recognize and in the first commercial of the campaign we follow an office worker heading home for Christmas, spreading joy and giving gifts to everyone she crosses paths with.

This story introduces kind hearted Anna, aided by her cherished toy wolf, determined to give a pink cubed gift to everyone on her list, including the person who deserves it the most  – Santa.

Astronaut

The story is picturing a young girl who adores space and will receive a life-changing gift that encourages her to follow her dream and become an astronaut in the end.

Pass the Parcel

The brand ad celebrates bringing a community together in the heart-warming animated style for which Very has become renowned.
