Vision Express is the first optical retailer to create distinctive TV animations to explain its values and offers. Introduced as their marketing mascot, Marvin the mole and his family highlight the great values at Vision Express through its campaign strapline “see more for less with Vision Express”. The campaign has been rolled out on television, online and in store.
In the latest TVC “Strike it” the eye examination procedures are explained by our animated characters, the optician Vikita and Marvin.

Exploring human behavior in the creation of a mole is an interesting challenge. The dynamics between human personality and animal physics create interesting character performance. Combining realistic elements of an animal with charming human characteristic features of a funny family man is what makes Marvin and his family instantly lovable.
Having these unexpected contrasts in everyday situations makes the story special and adds more to the journey.

Milford teamed up with Passion Pictures and director againstallodds to produce a campaign with agency Leo Burnett for Vision Express. We have worked with Passion and againstallods for many years and it’s always a treat to collaborate on projects.

We had a blast creating the furry mole family. A bit more realism and a lot more fur than we normally are asked to do, which was both challenging and fun.
